Day 11: to Fulton, MS

After having on-and-off rain on our layover day yesterday, the sun returned for our ride to Fulton, Mississippi, today. We rode 49 miles, with 1,588 feet of climbing, to the Fulton Recreational Campground. 5.5 hours on the road.

Here's the first half of our ride:

...and the second half:

Some photos from today's ride:

This is closest thing I've seen to a Mississippi bayou so far:

When some of us stopped for frozen yogurt in Fulton, some very friendly couples chatted with us for awhile. They wanted to know how we ended up in Fulton, and got a kick out of our story. From them I learned that the beautiful downtown park was donated by a member of the Waldorf family who married a woman from Fulton.

Another beautiful campground on water.
